(WMCAT is looking into how the Governor’s new stay-at-home order will impact some of these opportunities)

  • Heart of West Michigan United Way needs volunteers during the crisis. Both solo and small group volunteer opportunities are available.
  • Volunteer translators needed! A spreadsheet has been created and hosted by a contact at the Latino Community Coalition to translate short (social media length, not more than one paragraph) written materials for translation into Spanish (or other languages). Contact info within spreadsheet.
  • Volunteer blood donations needed at Versiti donor center (1036 Fuller Ave. NE), call 1-866-642-5663 or schedule an appointment online.
  • Community Kids is looking for volunteers to donate art supplies for kids, gas cards, encouraging messages to families and more.
  • Volunteer opportunities are available through Kids’ Food Basket.
  • New food distribution date added and volunteers needed. Due to recent community need of additional food resources KCCA has scheduled an additional Food Distribution date for March 26 from 1pm-6pm at Kent County Community Action located at 121 Franklin Street SE Grand Rapids, MI 49507. This additional date has also brought a need for volunteers to help make the distribution run smoothly and ensure we get as much food out to the community as is needed. If you are interested in volunteering please fill out this form.
